If you are finding it difficult to drink Black Seed Oil on its own then look no further as these inspiration recipes on how we can incorporate Black Seed in to our diets. One of the many wonderful things about herbs and spices is the natural beauty they possess when in their natural habitats. The Nigella sativa, for instance, is a plant found throughout Turkey, Syria, Ethopia and parts of Iraq that produces gorgeous yet delicate flowers. These flowers range from light blue to white color and have tall skinny leaves. These flowers contain pods that carry many seeds called “black cumin fruit” or nigella seeds, as we know them. Other names include black cumin, black onion seed, and black sesame seed. The list doesn’t stop there, though. Nigella seeds are also called “kalouji” in India and in the US also referred to as “charnushka."

Muslims are making a (ahem) beeline for honey. We consume 400 million pounds of the sweet stuff each year, according to the National Honey Board. And with the popularity of the natural sweetener soaring, not only are farmers' markets full of fancy flavors, grocery stores are following suit. Islamic Calender
Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar, is one of the four sacred months mentioned in the Glorious Qur'ān, Lo! The number of the months with Allāh is twelve months by Allāh's Ordinance in the day that He created the heavens and the earth. Four of them are sacred: that is the right religion. So wrong not yourselves in them... (9:36) The specification of these four sacred months is stated in a hadīth narrated by Abū Bakrah radhiyallāhu 'anhu that Rasūlullāh sallallāhu 'alayhi wasallam said, Verily time has completed its cycle and returned to its original stage as it was on the day Allāh created the heavens and the earth. The year consists of twelve months, four of which are sacred. Three of them occur consecutively; Dhul Qa'dah, Dhul Hijjah and Muharram, (the fourth being) Rajab of Mudar (named after the tribe of Mudar as they used to respect this month) which occurs between Jamādī-al-Ākhir and Sha'bān. (Al-Bukhārī)
