As parents, we often wonder when is the best time to start our children’s tajweed journey. Why not teach them from the very beginning so they don’t have to correct their mistakes later on in life. Here to help you we have lovingly designed an engaging and fun Arabic Alphabet book to help your child master the alphabet with the right articulation point (makharij).

In this Arabic Alphabet for kids you will find:

One alphabet covered on each page to help them identify the letter with a colouring activity
A spot and colour activity to help with familiarisation of the letter
The letter forms shown to help your child understand the letter comes in different forms
A colouring page for the articulation point to help them pronounce the letter correctly
A tracing page to help them visually memorise the letter

The words found in the workbook are examples from the Quran allowing your children to familiarise themselves with words from the Quran.

The Islam Shop wanted to tell you the story behind Al Qasas Learning and the journey of how it all started. The Islam Shop are sure that you can relate to life turning upside down when we were in our first ever lockdown here in the UK. All Islamic and Arabic classes moved online and the community work they did was stopped due to the risks. Life certainly changed completely and the authors started questioning their purpose in life.

So during Ramadan, they turned to Allah SWT, asking him to show the Authors the way how they could use the knowledge they had gained to benefit others. Subhanallah an idea popped into their head, all the Masjids (Mosques) were closed down and children in the author's family were not going to their Quran classes. So they spoke to some of their relatives and said they would be happy to teach them tajweed online.

When the Authors were teaching them tajweed they wanted hands-on, engaging and fun resources to help them on their journey of reciting the Qur'an with tajweed. So they started searching the internet for what they wanted, but after many hours of searching, They couldn’t find what they was looking for. They had another light bulb moment and thought that they could probably make something themself and I produced their very first “5 main makahrij game”, and that is how it all started.

The authors wouldn’t have been able to continue this journey without your support and encouragement. They absolutely loved the lovely messages and feedback they got from you. And inshallah they pray and continue this journey for a very long time.
