This book contains short accounts of the various animals mentioned in the Qur'an. These accounts have largely been taken from Moulana Hifzur Rahman Seoharwi's large work Qasas al-Qur'an (Stories Of The Quran). Other works have also been consulted.

Each account is summed up with a short note on the Arabic word for the animal from the famous work Hayat al-Hayawan.'

Animals discussed in the book include the Cow of Banu Isra'il the Camel of the Prophet Salih (upon him be peace) and the Fish of the Sabbath.
