This book provides a profound understanding on the role of women in Islam and tackles common misconceptions on the subject. It gives its readers a guided explanation as each role is accompanied with stories of great women as told in the Quran and Sunnah.

This book narrates the stories of about sixty great women whose names and exemplary behaviour are enshrined in the history of Islam.

About The Authors

Dr Tareq As Suwaidan

Tareq Mohammed Al-Suwaidan ( طارق محمد السويدان) is a Kuwaiti writer and businessman. According to Forbes magazine (Arabic edition: Forbes Arabia), Al-Suwaidan ranks second in annual net income among Islamic speakers in the Muslim world with an estimated net profit of $1 million in 2007.

Al-Suwaidan was trained in the classical Islamic sciences in his youth and lived and studied in the United States from the age of 17 and remained in the US for 20 years. He graduated from high and received a BS in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Penn State University in 1975. He earned an MSc and subsequently PhD in 1990 in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa.

Al-Suwaidan was one of the founders of the American Creativity Academy in Kuwait, a private institution that offers an American college-preparatory education within the context of Islamic values.

He is also one of the founders of Advanced Generations School (AGS) in Saudi Arabia, a "Canadian school with an Islamic identity." Students study English under the Canadian curriculum and take Islamic and Arabic classes as well
