Based on the works of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab, Ibn Jibrin, Salih Al al-Shaykh, and other leading scholars
An Explanation of The Four Rules Regarding Shirk is a profound and accessible study of one of the most vital topics in Islam – Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah) and its opposite, Shirk (associating partners with Allah).
In this concise yet comprehensive book, Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, one of today’s most respected Islamic scholars, explains the four foundational principles laid down by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab regarding the concept of Shirk. Drawing from the works of great scholars such as Shaykh Abdullah ibn Jibrin and Shaykh Salih Al al-Shaykh, this book simplifies complex theological ideas into clear and practical lessons for every Muslim.
Shirk is not only the greatest sin in Islam, but also the only sin Allah will never forgive if a person dies without repentance. Tragically, many Muslims fall into subtle forms of Shirk out of ignorance or misunderstanding.
This book serves as a beacon of clarity, guiding the reader away from the traps of Shaytan and towards the purity of Tawheed – the foundation of all faith and worship.
Whether you are a student of knowledge, a new Muslim, or simply seeking to strengthen your Imaan, this book will help you:
With its clear explanations, authentic references, and easy-to-follow format, An Explanation of The Four Rules Regarding Shirk is ideal for personal study circles, Islamic courses, or family learning sessions.
It’s more than just a book – it’s a spiritual awakening, reminding us of the essence of our relationship with Allah and the importance of safeguarding it from all forms of Shirk.
“Whoever dies while associating partners with Allah, Allah has forbidden Paradise for him.” (Qur’an 5:72)

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab ibn Sulayman al-Tamimi al-Najdi was a renowned Arab scholar, theologian, jurist, and reformer from Najd in the Arabian Peninsula. A dedicated student of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Hanbali jurisprudence, he called for a revival of pure monotheism (Tawhid) and a return to the authentic teachings of Islam as practiced by the early generations of Muslims (the Salaf).
Throughout his life, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab emphasized the importance of knowledge, rejecting blind imitation (taqlid), and encouraging ijtihad — independent reasoning rooted in scriptural evidence. His works, including the celebrated Kitab al-Tawhid (The Book of Monotheism) and Usul al-Thalatha (The Three Fundamental Principles), continue to be taught and studied around the world for their clarity, precision, and focus on Islamic fundamentals.
His movement inspired a revival of Islamic learning and reform across the Muslim world, aiming to purify religious practice from innovations and to renew adherence to the oneness of Allah. The Shaykh’s legacy endures through his writings and the generations of scholars who have carried forward his call to authentic Islamic faith and understanding.
