About The Author
Gohar Mushtaq
Dr. Gohar Mushtaq received his PhD in Chemistry in 2001, specialising in the field of Biochemistry and Biophysical Chemistry. From his childhood, he received a thorough Islamic education through his father. Throughout his college and university education, he continued studying the classical Islamic sciences privately from various Islamic teachers. Dr. Mushtaq frequently delivers Friday khutbahs and lectures at various mosques and Islamic centres in the areas of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He contributes articles to both English and Urdu Islamic magazines and is the author of the popular book 'Growing a beard: In Light of the Qur'an, and Sunnah and Modern Science' (Ta-Ha Publishers Ltd.)
