Medical Miracles of the Quran Medical Miracles of the Qur'an explores some of the Qur'anic references to medicine and science in the light of the latest scholarship. The Qur'an repeatedly asks man to reflect on the sings of Allah scattered in his own being and around him. For this is the way to gain his strong belief in Allah. Taking the cue from this Qur'anic directive, the Qur'anic allusions to medicine and science are elucidated in this work. Dr. Sharif Kaf Al-Ghazal is Consultant Plastic Surgeon, West Yorkshire, UK. He is the Founding and Executive member of the International Society for History of Islamic Medicine (ISHIM). Also, he is associated with several leading professional and medical bodies. He has published papers in the areas of his specialization, Islamic medical ethics, and history and other aspects of Islamic medicine. The Islamic Foundation aims to achieve excellence in academic research, education, publication, training and building bridges between Muslims and others. Since 1973, the Foundation has developed its national and international standing through the character, variety and scope of its activities. It has, at present, over 300 published titles, and houses one of the largest private Islamic libraries in Western Europe. It publishes three academic journals The Muslim World Book Review (quarterly), Encounters Journal of Inter-Cultural Perspectives (biannually) and Review of Islamic Economics(biannually). Its academic wing the Markfield Institute of Higher Education awards MA/MPhil/PhD degrees, Post-Graduate Diploma and Certificate in Islamic Studies in partnership with the Loughborough University, UK.
