The Muslim Ummah today faces unprecedented challenges. For the first time in history, knowledge of Islam among many Muslims has shifted from the sublime to the superficial. Even more concerning is the way Islamic teachings are implemented and followed—often diluted, misunderstood, or entirely abandoned. This book is a wake-up call to change that narrative.

About The Author

Sheikh Muhammad Qutb

At The Islam Shop Ltd., we are proud to present the works of Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Husayn Shadhili Qutb (1919–2014), an influential Islamic scholar, educator, and writer whose legacy continues to inspire Muslims worldwide.

Born in the Upper Egyptian village of Musha, near Asyut, Sheikh Muhammad Qutb was the younger brother of the renowned Egyptian revolutionary Sayyid Qutb. After the tragic execution of his brother in 1966, Muhammad sought refuge in Saudi Arabia, where he dedicated his life to preserving and promoting authentic Islamic knowledge.

A Journey of Scholarship and Influence

Muhammad Qutb's academic excellence began with a degree in English literature from Cairo University in 1940, followed by diplomas in psychology and education. His deep understanding of both Islamic and modern sciences made his works uniquely insightful and accessible to readers from all backgrounds.

In Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Muhammad Qutb served as a professor of Islamic Studies at prestigious institutions like Umm al-Qura University in Mecca and King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. His lectures attracted many prominent students, including Osama bin Laden, who once recommended his book "Concepts That Should Be Corrected."

A Balanced Approach to Islamic Thought

While committed to his brother's vision of Islamic revival, Sheikh Muhammad Qutb advocated for a balanced interpretation of Islamic principles. He worked to bridge gaps between traditional Islamic scholars and contemporary thinkers, promoting unity among Muslims. In 1975, he publicly opposed takfir (the act of declaring other Muslims as unbelievers) and emphasized peaceful reform over conflict.

One of his most notable contributions was mentoring future scholars, including Safar Al-Hawali, whose groundbreaking dissertation under Qutb's supervision became a cornerstone of modern Islamic thought.

A Lasting Legacy

Sheikh Muhammad Qutb passed away in Mecca on April 4, 2014, at the age of 94, leaving behind a wealth of knowledge that continues to inspire hearts and minds.

At The Islam Shop Ltd., we are honored to offer Sheikh Muhammad Qutb's influential books and educational resources, carefully curated to enrich your spiritual journey. His works reflect the timeless wisdom of Islam, guiding readers toward a deeper understanding of faith, morality, and personal growth.
