Abū ʿAbdullāh Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Abī Bakr al-Anṣārī al-Qurṭubī (Imam Al Qurtubi)

Imām Abū ʿAbdullāh Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Abī Bakr al-Anṣārī al-Qurṭubī (1214 – 29 April 1273) was one of the most revered scholars of Islam, celebrated for his profound knowledge in Tafsīr (Quranic exegesis), Hadith, Fiqh, and the Arabic language. Born in Qurtuba (modern-day Córdoba, Spain) during the Islamic Golden Age, his scholarship continues to illuminate the hearts and minds of Muslims worldwide. He was a devout Sunni Muslim, a Maliki jurist, and an expert in Quranic interpretation, best known for his timeless masterpiece, Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī, an essential work for understanding the Quran's meanings, laws, and wisdom.
