The Adhan (Call to Prayer) is one of the most iconic and universally recognised symbols of Islam — a sacred proclamation that resonates in the hearts of Muslims and captivates even non-Muslims worldwide. But beyond its melodic words lies a wealth of meaning, jurisprudential detail, and spiritual wisdom.
For the first time, this monumental topic is explored comprehensively through the lens of Imam Muhammad ibn Isa al-Tirmidhi’s Sunan (Jami’ at-Tirmidhi). Drawing on the insightful lectures of Mufti Shabbir Ahmad, this commentary brings together the Arabic text, translation, and deep scholarly analysis in a way that is accessible, authentic, and academically rigorous.
By doing so, it highlights not only the significance and enduring relevance of the Adhan in Muslim life, but also showcases Imam al-Tirmidhi’s unique teaching methodology.
Whether you are a student of Islamic knowledge, an Imam, a teacher, or a layperson seeking to deepen your connection with this central act of worship, this book is a must-have addition to your Islamic library. It bridges tradition and contemporary relevance, making it an invaluable resource for those who wish to understand the Adhan in all its spiritual, legal, and historical depth.
Bring home this profound work and rediscover the beauty of the Adhan — not just as a call to prayer, but as a timeless reminder of Islam’s mercy, guidance, and connection to Allah ﷻ.
