Ethar El-Katatney

Ethar El-Katatney was born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Egypt, and educated in Western schools. She has an undergraduate business degree from the American University in Cairo and is currently pursuing two graduate degrees from the same university. Her cutting-edge journalism won her two awards in 2009: the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist of the Year award and the Anne Lindh Mediterranean Journalist award.
