Colour Coded Tajweed Quran by Taj AKA Colour Coded Tajweed Quran (Taj)

A color-coded Qur'an in an Arabic script that is easy to read for the non-Arabic speaking person as well.

Eight different-color shades have been used: each color representing a different tajwid rule. Letters are coloured according to the corresponding tajweed rule.

The colour coded Qur'an is intended to facilitate and enhance the reading of the Qur'an with tajweed. 

  • The letters which requires "Tafkhim" are marked with Brown
  • The letters which requires "Qalqala" are marked with Red
  • The letters which requires "Ghunna" are marked with Orange
  • The letters which requires "Idgham" are marked with Green
  • The letters which requires "Ikhfa" are marked with Blue
  • The letters which requires "Ikhfa with Mim Sakin" are marked with Pink

The Pages of Each Manzil is in a Different Colour so as to distinguish each Manzil

It was a habit of many from among the salaf to complete the recitation of the whole Qur'an within a week and therefore people such as Hamza Al-Zayyat (d.156/772) worked on dividing the Qur'an into 7 Equal Sections, each Section became know as a Manzil.

The Most Common Division of the 7 Manzils of the Qur'an was done by Hamza Al-Zayyat (d.156/772)

  • Manzil 1  Surah Al-Fatih​ah To Surah An-Nisa' - Total 4 Surahs .
  • Manzil 2 Al-Ma'ida (chapter 5) through At-Tawba (chapter 9) consisting of 5 chapters.
  • Manzil 3  Yunus (chapter 10) through An-Nahl (chapter 16) consisting of 7 chapters.
  • Manzil 4  Al Isra' (chapter 17) through Al-Furqan (chapter 25) consisting of 9 chapters.
  • Manzil 5  Ash-Shuara' (chapter 26) through Ya-Seen (chapter 36) consisting of 11 chapters.
  • Manzil 6 As-Saaffat (chapter 37) through Al-Hujurat (chapter 49) consisting of 13 chapters.
  • Manzil 7  Qaf (chapter 50) through An-Nas (chapter 114) consisting of 65 chapters.
