This book synthesizes advanced knowledge in modern leadership science with leadership examples of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the history of the generation of his Companions. The approach this book follows is to start with a known modern leadership reference model that is well documented.
It then collects and collates evidence from Hadith (a collection of traditions containing sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)) and Seerah (the life, history, behaviour and habits of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)) based upon the classifications of the model.
The book also examines how the Prophet exercised leadership and made inductively inferences on exemplary leadership behaviours.
This book will help the readers become better leaders at a personal level and also help them provide better leadership for the Muslim community.
About The Author
Dr Azman Hussin
Completed his PhD Management in 2014 and a Master Graduate of Physics from Ohio University, Ohio, USA, Dr Azman Hussin started up EnCoral in 1993. Dr Azman monitors the overall company’s structure and operation, consultation services in IT and strategic planning and other corporate matters.
Throughout his 21-year tenureship with eNCoral, Dr Azman has undertaken a lot of projects especially in training and consultation
Dr Tareq Al-Suwaidan
Tareq Mohammed Al-Suwaidan is a Kuwaiti writer, historian, and businessman. He is chairman of the Gulf Innovation Group.[He is well known in the Middle East and Muslim communities throughout the world for his management/strategic planning training, and television shows and appearances.
Al-Suwaidan was one of the founders of the American Creativity Academy in Kuwait, a private institution that offers an American college-preparatory education within the context of Islamic values.
He is also one of the founders of Advanced Generations School (AGS) in Saudi Arabia, a "Canadian school with an Islamic identity." Students study English under the Canadian curriculum and take Islamic and Arabic classes as well.
Al-Suwaidan has been responsible for the preparation and submission of several courses and lectures to tens of entities in Kuwait, the Persian Gulf and the Arab world, Malaysia, Europe, America and Australia, and has trained more than 70 thousand people in a variety of topics relating to management in an Islamic context.
Dr Rozhan Othman
He has extensive teaching and consulting experience, having assisted various public and private sector clients in his training and consultancy work locally and overseas. His past consultancy work includes areas related to HRM, Talent Management, Change Management and Strategy. His past clients include Petronas, TM, Royal Brunei Airlines, Qatar Steel, MARA, SME Bank and AmGen Insurance.
Dr Rozhan was also a member and former ambassador for the Academy of Management HRM Division in Malaysia. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and has written several books and published papers in international refereed journals and presented papers at international conferences.
He is the author of “Getting Ahead: Developing Competencies for Strategic Leadership”.
He is the Founding member and Senior Partner of HumanCapient Consulting Sdn Bhd.
Dr. Rozhan Othman has over 35 years’ experience in management research, consulting and training. He was attached to UKM, UPM, IIUM, Universiti Brunei Darussalam and UTM KL.
